With an operating width of 56cm / 22", the Harrier 56 is the largest mower in Hayter's consumer range. Finished in British Racing Green, the Harrier 56 benefits from a corrosion resistant alloy deck, which together with variable speed control makes this self-propelled mower surprisingly lightweight and easy to handle. A 70 litres capacity collection bag features, as too does the uprated 190cc Briggs & Stratton 850EX Series engine.
Proven to deliver a superior cut on fine lawns, the Harrier 48 is suitable for use on rougher areas too, thanks to its single lever, 6-stage (13-60mm) height adjustment system. A 2-piece ribbed roller delivers that quintessentially British striped finish for which Hayter mowers are renowned.
POWERED BY BRIGGS & STRATTON
At the heart of this Hayter mower is a 190cc 850EX Series petrol engine manufactured by Briggs & Stratton, the world's largest supplier of outdoor engines. The 850EX has been purpose engineered for lawnmower use, with OHV technology maximizing engine life whilst minimizing fuel consumption and emissions. The mechanical governor controls engine speed to deliver more usable power during periods of heavy usage, whilst ReadyStart technology ensures the engine can be started without priming.
FRICTION DISC CUTTING SYSTEM
Impacts with unsighted obstacles are one of the most common causes of damage to lawnmowers and can cause irreparable crankshaft damage. To guard against the risk of crankshaft bending, the Harrier 56 petrol mower utilises Hayter's own friction disc cutting system. Hayter are that confident of the system's effectiveness, that the Harrier 56 is supplied complete with a conditional lifetime consumer warranty against crankshaft bending.
CAST ALLOY DECK
The Harrier 56 benefits from a cast alloy deck to protect against corrosion and create a machine which is lighter and easier to handle. For an enhanced cutting and collection performance, the deck features a tough ABS underdeck liner which also makes it easier to clean. Integrally moulded front fins also help to prepare the grass prior to cutting, delivering a cleaner and more consistent cut.
BRITISH MADE FOR BRITISH LAWNS.
At a time when many lawnmowers are assembled overseas, its reassuring to know that Hayter continues to develop and manufacture mowers at its UK plant in Spellbrook, Hertfordshire. Established in 1946, today's Hayter range builds upon a manufacturing heritage stretching back seven decades.
