POWERED BY BRIGGS & STRATTON
At the heart of this Hayter mower is a 190cc 650EX Series Eco-Plus petrol engine, manufactured by Briggs & Stratton, the world's largest supplier of outdoor engines. The 650EX has been purpose engineered for lawnmower use, with OHV technology maximizing engine life whilst minimizing fuel consumption and emissions. The mechanical governor controls engine speed to deliver more usable power during periods of heavy usage, whilst ReadyStart technology ensures the engine can be easily started without priming.
FRICTION DISC CUTTING SYSTEM
Impacts with unsighted obstacles are one of the most common causes of damage to lawnmowers and can cause irreparable crankshaft damage. To guard against the risk of the crankshaft bending, the Harrier 48 petrol mower utilises Hayter's own friction disc cutting system. Hayter are that confident of the system's effectiveness, that the Harrier 48 is supplied complete with a conditional, lifetime consumer warranty against crankshaft bending.

Integrally moulded front fins also help to prepare the grass prior to cutting, delivering a cleaner and more consistent cut.
